September 1994 - Paul and his band Return To
Sender perform their first Elvis tribute gig in Essex.
Over the next 5 years Paul's reputation as a band leader
and solo guitar playing Elvis tribute takes him as far
afield as China, appearing on the bill with artists
as diverse as Tom Robinson and Arthur Smith.
April 2000- An expanded 12 piece line up makes
it's debut at The Gordon Craig theatre in Stevenage.
November 2001- Paul reaches the final London ten
in GMTV's Elvis competition. Paul performs Love Me Tender
on air.
September 2002- The band is renamed 'A little less
conversation'and launches a new show with a funkier repertoire
and dancers, attracting a new generation of Elvis fans.
May 2003- A little Less Conversation tour the UK
and Germany.
February 2004- Paul and the band collaborate with
internationally renowned Elvis tribute artist Doug Church
for a two night appearance at Blackpool Winter Gardens.
May 2004- Paul is warm up artist for The Real Thing
at Fountains Abbey in Yorkshire.[Other support slots include
Boney M,Slade,Alvin Stardust and Suzi Quatro,whilst fronting
70's tribute band The Glambusters].
July 2004- Paul and the band perform their biggest
open air show at Little Easton manor in Essex headlining
above The Foundations and The Rubettes.
August 2004- Paul wins the Elvisly Your's 50th
anniversary competition in London and will be opening
act at a new chain of Elvisly Your's Restaurants. The
event is widely covered by the world's media and features
50 Elvis impersonators touring central London on open
top buses.
August 2004- Paul is photographed by David Bailey
for a forthcoming exhibition.
December 2004- Nuts magazine describe Paul's performance
as 'electrifying'.
January 2005- The Guardian newspaper interviews
Paul and describes him as 'Britain's leading Elvis impersonator.'
January 2005- A Little Less Conversation begin
a series of corporate events for John Lewis,BBC Radio
Suffolk and IPC magazines. The Radio Suffolk show is broadcast
in April.
March 2005- Paul is chosen to replace the late
Les Gray of 70's band Mud, debuting their new line up
at Glasgow's Clydebank centre on a bill including The
Bay City Rollers and The Glitter Band.
June 2005- Paul takes part in a live discussion
about Elvis on Simon Mayo's BBC radio 5 show. The panel
features former Old Grey Whistle Test presenter and Word
magazine editor David Hepworth who describes him as an
'Elvis educator'.Paul performs 'Trying to get to you'.
August 2005- Paul appears at the Millenium forum
in Derry, Northern Ireland backed by Mervyn Boyd's acclaimed
TCB Band.
